The Julio Tavarez Civic Association is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to empower the 5th Ward community to become active participants in the positive transformation of the 5th and the whole City of Paterson using the Collaboration Model developed by Councilman Julio Tavarez.  In order to achieve this transformation, we developed eight (8) initiatives that will allow us to focus our energy in resources in the most efficient and effective way.

These eight Initiatives are:

(1) Merchant Collaborative
(2) Youth Leadership Corps
(3) Keep Paterson Clean Project
(4) Anti-Crime Collaborative
(5) President’s Volunteer Sevice Award
(6) Cell Phone and Ink Cartridge Recycling Program
(7) The 5th Ward Spring Fest
(8) National Night Out Against Crime
