Paterson’s own Larry Doby is a nominee for induction into the 2010 New Jersey Hall of Fame. Larry Doby was the Second African-American Major League Baseball player and first in the American League. Larry is a graduate of Eastside High School and a Baseball Hall of Fame baseball player.

Dear Councilman Tavarez
I support Larry Doby’s induction into the NJHOF.
How fitting it would be if you and your colleagues on the Paterson City Council were not only able to announce his induction but at the same time tell everyone that the NJHOF will make Paterson its permanent home. A home run indeed!
May I ask what efforts you have personally made to bring the NJHOF to Paterson?
